The last time I bought a vehicle I found out one of the dealers ran my credit 7 times, I would like to avoid that kind of problem this time. My credit is bad enough without everyone running it. Would it be better to lease a vehicle?

GMAC has already said they would not do the lease to retail loan because i’ve messed up my credit since i received the lease in 2006. I’ve never had credit problems before so i have no clue where to begin. I am a member of a credit union also…do they give out loans for people with bad credit?
